Fujimoto Miki is engaged, and will be getting married this July to her boyfriend of two years, comedian Shouji Tomoharu, 33.
Miki quit Morning Musume two years ago after her relationship with Shouji was revealed, and after a suspension returned with a new solo song in 2008, which went on to sell over 24k copies through an extensive series of promotional events.
Her music career is expected to continue as she is now part of the J.P ROOM company alongside Mano Erina, Ogawa Makoto and Tokito Ami.

Submitted 2008-02-14 06:48 AM
It was announced yesterday that Fujimoto Miki will be releasing a new single "Oki Tegami" on April 23, 2008, ending speculation over her future in the business.
This will be the first time Fujimoto has appeared in a non-futsal role since the end of the GAM tour in July last year, which followed her resignation from Morning Musume.
The song, written Sugimoto Masato, will also be recorded by Up-Front singer Horiuchi Takao, and the two singles will be released at the same time. It is said to be more of a folk song, and quite different from her previous work.

Fujimoto Miki quits Morning Musume
Submitted 2007-06-01 03:05 AM
Morning Musume leader Fujimoto Miki has quit the group, one week after Friday magazine revealed that she was in a relationship. The former soloist, 22, was pictured out with Shouji Tomoharu, 31, from the comedy group "Shinagawa Shouji".
This comes less then one month after Fujimoto became leader, and mirrors how Yaguchi Mari left the group. Takahashi Ai will become the new leader, with Niigaki Risa as the new sub-leader.
Fujimoto is expected to continue on with her duo GAM, who last week released an album and started on a concert tour. She will complete the GAM tour, but has been removed from the Hello! Project summer concerts next month. Official Announcement
