Biography

Abe Natsumi was one of the original members of Morning Musume, and she became the front girl and face of the group for several years, leading most of the early songs. Abe graduated from Morning Musume in January 2004 to concentrate on her solo career.

In November 2004, Abe was suspended for plagiarism after it was revealed that some of the poetry and other written work released by her had been taken from other sources and passed off as her own. She returned in February 2005 with a public apology, and has continued her musical career.

In early 2008 she release a single with Yajima Maimi.
