Biography

Second generation Morning Musume member, Sayaka left the company in 2000 to finish her education, but returned in November 2001 to release the album "FOLK SONGS" with Nakazawa Yuko.

In April 2002 she formed the band CUBIC-CROSS with guitarist Yoshizawa Naoki and Sharan Q keyboardist Taisei. Together they released four singles and an album.

Sayaka released one further single as a soloist, then retired from the music business in late 2003. In 2004 she married Naoki and gave birth to their first child.

On August 25th 2009, Sayaka announced that she was returning to the entertainment world, and was training to work as an actor.
