Biography

Fourth generation member, Aibon still holds the record as the youngest person to join Morning Musume.

With Tsuji Nozomi, Aibon found huge popularity in Morning Musume and with Mini Moni. Later the two would graduate from Morning Musume together to form their own duo, "W".

However, in February 2006, Kago was photographed smoking by a tabloid and immediately suspended from work. The minimum legal age to smoke in Japan in 20, and she was only 17 when the pictures were taken.

In January 2007, Kago return to Tokyo and began working for Up-front behind the scenes while they start planning her return. This was revealed in an official interview given to "Friday", the same tabloid that had caught her smoking.

But in March 2007, another tabloid ("Weekly Gendai") published photographs of Kago with a man 18 years her senior, and reported that they visited a bath-house and hotel together. A few days later her contract was terminated.

In April 2008, Kago appeared in a series of video interviews apologising for what had happened. She has also started a blog, appeared in a Hong Kong film, made several television appearances, and published a book.
